Guess The Weather

May 1 – Well, we made it to Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah today. The first part of the drive was great; relatively flat roads and no wind. I almost couldn’t believe it. We decided to take the interstate (I-70) as opposed to back roads thinking the smaller roads would be more challenging and have steeper hills. That concept held water until we reached the mountains. I swear we went up a 20 and 10 mile grade today. That’s some slow going when an SUV you’re towing. In Utah if you are what they call a slow moving vehicle you have to drive with your flashers on. Let me say that ours were on for quite a while today.

One of the photos is of Val and I enjoying the warm Utah sun. The other is a typical sight in the canyons.

Once we got to Bryce Canyon we went out sightseeing. It only takes a few hours to see pretty much everything if you aren’t planning any hikes. Since the weather here when we arrived was 39 degrees and the winds blowing about 15-20 we thought it would be good to do something from the car. Besides the weather guy is predicting 1-3 inches of snow tonight with an overnight low in the low 20’s and it’s supposed to be like that for the next couple of days. WE’RE LEAVING IN THE MORNING! (Weather permitting).
